You guys saw me in the jungle, but the mangal had hardly begun when I got
thrown out! Not exactly what I had I mind for my next two months. I was so mentally prepared for the jungle; I wanted to eat lizards and chill with crocodiles!

And the worst part is, before my task was telecasted the voting lines were  shut. Now that’s just plain bad luck. I came out before my time! And I vented out my frustration the only way I know how. Music.

 Looking back, I have no regrets. That ten star task in the coffin will
be fresh in my memory for some time. Now it’s all up to the wildcard entry.

And guys, you know me! I am not the one to sit empty handed. Apart from all
this fiasco my new albums are keeping me busy. There’s so much more to do in
Bollywood. There are so many new frontiers to cross in my musical journey.

first of all i’d like to apologize for the long sabbatical away from my blog.. not cool.. sorry.. wish i could say i was off soul searching.. but if you know anything about me.. you know that i’m sceemming and plotting the ishQ takeover!

in 2008, my new home in the great city of Mumbai was threatened by one of the craziest terrorist attacks in history.. 26/11.. condolences to everyone who lost somebody in this sick crime against humanity.. Mumbai is now stronger than ever bouncing back with questions that will lead to positive solutions.. f*ck those terrorists!!

then i go to Dubai for my new years gig, but the Isreili move in Gaza makes the shaikh of Dubai ban music (even on the radio) for 4 days!  i mean .. i love bombs! ! but not the kind that kill children and cripple families.. some brainwashed choot has definitley lost the plot..  (mad love to my people who allowed me to stage dive all over them at the “its Mirchi” club!!) 

anyways.. i never even officially told you shmucks that i’ve directed a double feature video release.. starring the home grown Winnipeg city ”Mic Fight” and the grungy mixtape “Swagga like Us”..

i’ve come home after 2 long ass years in Mumbai to released my “Dakku Daddy” album last week here in Canada..

just found out that its already made the top 10 albums sold in the Hip-Hop charts on iTunes Canada! included in the current charts are artists like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem… etc!!! holy sheep sh*t!!

thanks a million for all the support from you crazy bastards! mad love to everyone who has invested any energy into my stankass..

so i take this news to my loving mom (who, since i’ve come home has been feeding me the bestest food ever!!!).. she celebrates for about 30 seconds then starts her “its now time to bring home a bride” speech.. what!?! damn maathi!!?

can someone please tell my mom that we’ll all get married one day.. so she can chill for a minute!!!!??

finally after 2 long hard years straight, i’m returning to Canada (for a few weeks)! i can be super stubburn.. i didn’t even wanna think about going till i got the ball rolling properly here in India..

with over a million views for “Aye Hip Hopper!” (youtube) and “Dakku Daddy” steadily climbing up, i’m hella excited to drop this disc on my fellow Canadians!

to answer alot of questions as to how we got here.. its like this..

1) ishQ starts his musical career as a dancer and makes basement music in Canada for many years to learn the craft of song writing/production/composition/tacking/mixing.

2) ishQ releases 4 original albums with his underground group the “Frek Sho”.. then 2 albums independently in India (Universal / BMG Crescendo doing distribution) — But very few people notice..

3) ishQ’s music gets recognised by a business enterpeneur (Nitin Gupta - Sykz Total Fitness) who puts his money where his mouth is. we make 3 new videos and an album named “Dakku Daddy”.

4) the album’s first single “Aye! Hip Hopper- ft. Sunidhi Chauhan” becomes a smash hit!! Followed by a crazy Bollywood super cast video “Dakku Daddy - ft. Shakti Kapoor & Hrishitaa Bhatt”..

5) Now the same album is being launched in Canada June 3rd with Universal / Fontana North doing distribution and aggressive radio promotions by Nelly Furtardo’s cuz Oscar.

An english version of the “Aye! Hip Hopper” video will be spinning on the biggest Canadian Music Station “Much Music” in June.

June 3rd is also my Birthday!! so, if you got love and wanna get me a B-Day gift, grab some of my songs from iTunes.. or if your in Canada, pick up the “Dakku Daddy” disc from your local HMV, CD Plus or select Walmarts..

but i am terribly upset with the theme of the video as well as tht of the song itself. the lyrics of the song are highly demeaning to women all over India and specially the kaamwali bais. you have no friggin right to treat them like sluts, cuz th video and the lyrics of the song appear to do so shamelessly.

if you had any sense of being an Indian, you wud hav come up with something more innovative or at least sensible. do you think the ‘bai’s in india are whores? they work their asses off to keep our houses clean and you treat them like dirt? you shud really be ashamed of yourself. you can never be even remotely Indian, if you treat women like dirt.

I agree the concept of “bhartiya naari” has died long back, but as Indian men it’s our duty to treat women with respect and dignity. The least you cud do is not make videos which are more demeaning than an item number.

I hope u understand the Indian culture before its too late.

The last thing we want is some “hip hop star” trying to screw around.

Please try to focus on good music and some interesting concepts, as u did in ur “daaku daddy” video, instead of being a jerk.
